Ingredientes:

• 1 e 1/3 xícara de leite morno (320 ml)*
• 2 colheres (sopa) de açúcar
• 1 colher (sopa) rasa de fermento biológico seco (5 g)
• 3 colheres (sopa) de manteiga (60 g)
• 1 xícara de purê de batata doce roxa (210 g)
• 1 colher (chá) de sal
• 3 xícaras (chá) de farinha de trigo branca (450 g)

*Nota da vovó: Se a sua batata doce roxa for mais úmida, comece com metade do leite e vá ajustando.

Utensílios Utilizados:

• Tigela grande
• Espremedor de batatas ou processador
• Colher de pau ou batedeira com gancho
• Forma de pão
• Pano de prato limpo
• Forno preaquecido

Modo de Preparo:

1. Cozinhe a batata doce roxa inteira e com casca, até que fique bem macia. Escorra, retire a casca e passe ainda quente pelo espremedor ou processador. Reserve até que esteja morno.
2. Em uma tigela, misture o leite morno, o açúcar, o fermento, a manteiga amolecida e o purê de batata doce roxa.
3. Adicione a farinha e o sal. Misture bem com as mãos ou com a batedeira usando o gancho.
4. Sove a massa por 8 a 10 minutos. Ela deve ficar macia, sem grudar nas mãos, mas não seca.
5. Transfira para uma tigela untada, cubra com o pano de prato e deixe crescer por cerca de 1 hora, ou até dobrar de volume.
6. Sobre uma bancada enfarinhada, pressione a massa para retirar o ar, abra com as mãos e enrole em formato de pão.
7. Coloque na forma untada e enfarinhada, cubra novamente e deixe crescer até dobrar.
8. Asse em forno preaquecido a 180ºC por cerca de 50 minutos, até que esteja bem dourado.

Rendimento:

Essa receita rende um pão grande ou dois pães médios. Serve de 8 a 10 fatias generosas.

• Esse pão também pode ser modelado em pãezinhos individuais. O tempo de forno nesse caso diminui para cerca de 30 minutos.

Substituições:

• Não tem batata doce roxa? Use a batata doce comum! O sabor será um pouco diferente, mas ainda assim delicioso.
• Pode usar manteiga vegetal ou azeite de oliva no lugar da manteiga comum para uma versão sem laticínios.
• Farinha sem glúten pode ser testada, mas talvez seja necessário ajustar o líquido e incluir um pouco de goma xantana para dar liga.
